Child Dental Benefit Schedule in Hervey Bay
Free Dental Care for Eligible Children*
At Hervey Bay Dental, we are proud to participate in The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) and provide quality dental care to eligible children. We understand the importance of early intervention and preventive dental care in maintaining optimal oral health, and the CDBS is a valuable tool in ensuring that eligible children receive the dental care they need to maintain healthy smiles for life.
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a program offered by the Australian government to help eligible children access essential dental care. Children aged 2 to 17 years who are eligible for Medicare and receive certain government benefits, such as Family Tax Benefit Part A, are eligible for CDBS. The program provides benefits of $1,095 per child over a two-year period, which can be used for a wide range of dental services, including examinations, cleanings, fillings, and extractions. To learn more visit the Service Australia website.
Under the CDBS, eligible children can receive important dental care without incurring high out-of-pocket costs, making it easier for families to prioritise their children’s oral health. The benefits are bulk-billed, which means there is no gap fee for most services, making dental care more affordable and accessible for eligible children. It is important for parents to check their child’s eligibility and keep track of their child’s benefit balance to ensure they make the most of this valuable program.
What If My Child Isn’t Eligible?
If your child doesn’t meet the eligibility requirements for CDBS, we can still see them as private patients. Please note that the treatment may be covered under your private health insurance. You may be able to recover a percentage of this price from your private insurance company.
We invite you to schedule your child’s next appointment today!
